Levels do not require an audition — we trust you to choose the level that feels right for you.
We know some of you have a lot of experience and confidence, while others may feel a little shy.
Remember: this event is competition-free. There are no points, no rankings, and nobody is here to judge you. Just be yourself!
This event is all about dancing — dance, dance, and dance and learning. There may be a surprise or two along the way, but the main goal is simple: enjoy dancing together.
LEVEL 2
You have been dancing West Coast Swing for at least one or two years.
You have never competed — and maybe you don’t want to.
You know the basics, can dance to different music speeds, and enjoy trying new patterns.
Not for total beginners.
LEVEL 3
You want to learn new patterns and continue building your technique.
You have been attending West Coast Swing classes for at least three years or more.
You know different pattern variations and enjoy playing with the music and expressing musicality in your dance.
LEVEL 4
You know how to dance dips, rondés, and more advanced variations.
Your technique is ready for competition, and you may already be competing.
You are confident dancing with higher-level dancers and enjoy expressing your groove and body movement through different music styles and tempos.
You love blues, contemporary influences, and musical interpretation — West Coast Swing is your passion.
